A teacher by profession, my true passion is sports.  By day I am required to discuss such burning issues as the key elements of a good poem, or the main reasons behind the fall of The Roman Empire, but in my spare time all I talk about is sports.

After years of random psychotic rants at the inanimate TV set before me, the birth of my daughter and her subsequent dominance of the box has left me searching for another outlet for my plethora of sporting opinions.  And this is it!

I aim to update this blog daily, and more frequently during the generous teachers holidays, days-off, strike-days and the unofficial sick-days when I just can’t be bothered turning in.  Whilst I am basically a soccer fanatic, I hope to delve deeper into the pressing issues in all sports, although I might just draw the line at cricket….I have my limits!

So, I hope you enjoy my blog and please feel free to get involved – rebuke if you will, disparage if you must, completely ignore me if you want.  Like I said, I’m a teacher – I’m used to it!
